China has delivered the world’s largest dual-fuel vehicle carrier capable of transporting more than 10,000 cars, marking a major step in modern maritime transport.
The vessel was handed over in Guangzhou’s Nansha district, according to CCTV News.
Built by Guangzhou Shipyard International Co. under China State Shipbuilding Co, the ship stands out for both its size and advanced design. It signals China’s growing strength in high-end shipbuilding and green maritime technology.
The vessel stretches 230 meters in length and spans 40 meters in width. It includes 14 vehicle decks, allowing it to carry up to 10,800 vehicles per trip.

Its design supports a wide mix of cargo. The ship can transport electric vehicles, hydrogen-powered cars, and heavy trucks. This flexibility makes it suitable for the changing needs of the global auto industry, where new-energy vehicles are gaining ground.
