
Chinese and Polish Researchers Unravel Mystery of Rare Rogue Planet 10,000 Light-Years Away
An international team from the University of Warsaw and Peking University has confirmed a rare Saturn-sized rogue planet 9,950 light-years away. Using gravitational microlensing, Professor Subo Dong and colleagues provided the first precise measurements of a free-floating world, suggesting the galaxy may be filled with such dark, starless planets.
