Harbin, China, the capital of Heilongjiang Province, is set to unveil the world’s largest ice and snow theme park on December 17, as the 27th edition of the Harbin Ice-Snow World opens its gates. The scale of the construction is almost incomprehensible—imagine roughly 168 football fields of intricate, illuminated ice castles, towers, and sculptures. This seasonal marvel is the centerpiece of the broader Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival, one of the world’s four major ice festivals. For those planning a trip, tickets are available for advance purchase through the park’s official WeChat account and platforms like Meituan and Alipay. An opening promotional price of 298 yuan (about $42) per adult ticket will run from December 17 to 23, before rising to the standard price of 328 yuan.
