U.S. Army Invests $46M in Autonomous Cargo Delivery Drone

The U.S. Army is investing $46 million in a drone designed to deliver cargo without a pilot.


The Army program will focus on capabilities including GPS-denied navigation, cyber-protected communications, greater autonomy, and modular payload delivery.


Chaparral has already demonstrated unattended cargo delivery including precision drops without personnel at the receiving site.
