BAE Systems has unveiled a new digital fire-control capability to improve the speed and accuracy of artillery operations.

The company introduced its Next Generation Indirect Fire Control System at Eurosatory, one of the world’s leading defense exhibitions. The system is designed to help artillery crews engage targets faster while improving coordination across the battlefield.

The new capability supports indirect fire missions, in which artillery units strike targets not directly visible to operators.

It provides digital tools that help crews calculate firing solutions more quickly and accurately. This reduces response times and improves the effectiveness of artillery support during military operations.

Digital Connectivity for Faster Battlefield Decisions

A key feature of the system is its ability to connect artillery platforms with sensors, command centers, and other military assets. This allows targeting and operational data to move quickly between different units. As a result, commanders and artillery crews can make decisions more quickly and respond more effectively to changing battlefield conditions.
