The US Department of the Air Force has officially confirmed that the B-21 Raider will operate with a two-pilot crew.
The announcement also introduces a new pilot transition program for selected weapons system officers (WSOs) and combat systems officers (CSOs). The move is designed to prepare the Air Force for future long-range strike missions in increasingly challenging operational environments.
Crew Structure Confirmed
Air Force leaders said they reached the decision after carefully studying the B-21 Raider’s advanced systems and mission requirements.
