The world premiere was just months ago, but Porsche isn’t waiting. Production of the Cayenne Electric is now underway at the Volkswagen Group’s multi-brand plant in Bratislava. This isn’t a segregated EV factory; it’s a masterclass in manufacturing agility. On a single production line, the brand now seamlessly builds the iconic SUV with pure-combustion engines, plug-in hybrid systems, and now a full electric powertrain. This flexible approach is a strategic buffer against market volatility. Here, battery modules are developed and manufactured entirely in-house.
