Electronic Warfare Could Redefine the Future of Air Combat

The next battle for air superiority may be fought without firing a single missile.

Instead of physically destroying a target, electronic warfare can disrupt or degrade an adversary’s use of the electromagnetic spectrum including radar and communications.

The system is intended to augment and eventually replace the olderc system used by the EA-18G Growler, strengthening airborne electronic attack capabilities.
